As you probably know, Megaupload has been shut down by the US gov't. This development makes this 100% legal music blog essentially useless. Maybe it is time to go back to trading tapes in the mail (Maxell XL II only please!) or doing B+P. Oh, the good old days.

If you see anything here you want, leave a comment and I will try to back to you. Fortunately I have backup copies of everything. I'll try to post these shows elsewhere if I can find the time.

It has been years since I taped a show. The free Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park is walking distance from my place, so taping this BSS show just seemed obvious. I dusted off the old equipment and here it is.

This is the daytime show in Golden Gate Park. They also played later that night at The Fillmore.

At the time I had never heard of The Appleseed Cast, I was there to see & tape Cursive. I'm really glad I plugged into the board and recorded The Appleseed Cast. They are now one of my favorites and soundboard recordings have been impossible to find.

As of today (May 2010) this show was completely uncirculated. I kinda forgot I had it until I was cleaning up my Minidiscs and found it recently.

There are a few minor volume drops, but they are minimal.
